Circle of 8 Crochet Octagon Motif

The Circle of 8 is a beautiful octagonal crochet motif that grows evenly with each round, creating a balanced and versatile design. It is very quick to make, easy to memorize, and a joy to watch as it grows.

What makes this motif special is its flexibility —  you can stop earlier to keep it small, or keep adding rounds to make it larger. Once you try it, you’ll see how versatile and easy it is — and how perfectly it pairs with other motifs, like the Lavender Bloom for example.

st(s) – stitch(es)

inc – increase (2 dc in same stitch)

rep – repeat

If you’d like a smaller piece, stop after Round 4 or Round 5.

For a larger one, simply continue the same increase logic — add 2 more stitches between the increases with each new round.

Happy crocheting!
